A new watchdog is being launched to monitor health and social care services.
From April Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire will seek the views of patients and social care service users.
This is part of changes taking place nationally that put the people who use services at the heart of decisions about services.
The watchdog will be run as an independent charity formed by existing local community and voluntary groups.
It replaces the Local Involvement Network (LINk).
Its three aims will be to gather evidence about what the services are actually like, to inform people about what is on offer and how to access services and to represent residents.
