Rail passengers in Chronicle Country have suffered long delays to their journeys due to problems with overhead power lines.
A bus service was running between Biggleswade and Letchworth and Stevenage after continuing faults with the wires, which have affected much of the East Coast Main Line.
The Biggleswade to Welwyn Garden City section of the line between Peterborough and London King’s Cross has now reopened, but First Capital Connect (FCC) customers can still expect delays of up to 30 minutes.
Passengers boarding trains at Biggleswade and Arlesey stations have experienced lengthy delays on services between London King’s Cross and Peterborough since Monday evening (December 17).
The technical problems have occurred between Stevenage and Hitchin.
