A Queen band for those who want it all!

Queen fans in Biggleswade will be in for a treat on Saturday (December 1).

Authentic four-piece tribute band Rock Q are coming to The Red Lion pub in the town and play the full gamut of Queen hits.

Punters can expect to hear everything from the band’s rock classics of the 1970s to their more pop-orientated material of the 1980s.

Sammy K as Freddie Mercury, Dave White as Brian May, Charlie Cooper as John Deacon and Jonathan Hoey as Roger Taylor provide the complete Queen experience.

The four even bear a canny resemblance to the performers that they represent, so fans can expect a truly concert.

Catch them on stage from 9pm.

Those who hanker after some smoother, more soulful sounds can also enjoy a performance from The Soul Man at The Biggleswade United Working Men’s Club on Friday (November 30).

Barry White, Luther Vandross, George Benson, The Temptations and The Drifters are just some of the artists that the popular and accomplished performer pays tribute to,

One member of a popular acoustic duet is also branching out into the world of solo gigs and will be performing at The White Horse pub in Arlesey on Saturday.

Kevin Clynes is one part of Woodface and has been gigging for many years, playing in a variety of covers bands and those playing original material too.

He made his name in the successful Squeeze tribute band Squeezed and pays homage to a wide range of acts including Radiohead, Aztec Camera and Paul Weller.

Brit pop and rock will be on the agenda at The Golden Lion in Clifton, also on Saturday, courtesy of Get Carter.

Two-tone and ska sounds will be heard at The Ivy Leaf Club in Langford on Saturday, meanwhile.

The Iconics are on the bill and will be serving up a cocktail of 1960s and 1970s styles from the likes of The Harry J Allstars, Booker T and Dave and Ansell Collins.

Throw in some second-wave 1980s ska from Madness, Bad Manners and The Specials and the Iconics package is truly complete.

Four-piece covers band The Barnacles will be performing at Potton & District Club on Saturday, while at The Noah’s Ark pub in Shillington Mick Ferris will also be playing covers on the same night.

Popular ABBA tribute outfit Almost ABBA are set to entertain punters at Stotfold Conservative Club on Saturday.

At The Crown pub in Stotfold The Blazing 80s will be paying tribute to some fondly-remembered hits from that very decade on Saturday.

Expect to hear material from Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, ABC, Haircut 100, Billy Idol, Simple Minds and Depeche Mode to name but a few.

Fancy dress to suit is very much optional!
