This Saturday sees an evening boldly labelled as ‘Astounding Autumn’ at the Performers and Pints event at The Rising Sun, Potton.
Looking at the line-up, this boast is not unfounded, as headlining is Kelly Oliver, a rising ‘nu folk’ star from Stevenage who drew rave reviews at Rhythms of the World this year and is touring her debut album.
Music Crowns said: “Kelly’s brand of Folk is so accessible that you don’t need to be a ‘Strictly Folk’ music junky to enjoy her music. If you like a beautiful voice, lyrics from the heart and warm melodies then Kelly Oliver deserves your attention.”
Kelly, 24, is a Royal Holloway graduate and decided to pursue her hearts desire and become a full time musician while travelling last year.
Since May 2013 she has performed at Cambridge Folk Festival, Rhythms of the World and many other venues across the country.
Her album is being released on Folkstock Records, a local boutique label which champions up and coming acoustic singer songwriters as part of Folkstock Arts Foundation community interest company.
The Performers and Pints event starts at 9pm and the sparkling line-up also includes Seb Stone with his cool reggae vibes and funky acoustic singer songwriter Mark Sullivan.
You are invited to join them for free on what is sure to be a great evening of entertainment.
