Biggleswade Town notched their first point of the new season on Tuesday but had to earn it against a strong Histon side.
After losing Saturday’s opening Calor Southern League Premier game Biggleswade were keen to give the home supporters something to cheer about before two games on the road.
And Evan Key scored their first goal of the campaign after a quarter of an hour to put them ahead.
But the visitors levelled from the penalty spot and only stout defending and top goalkeeping prevented them from snatching a late winner, the game finishing 1-1.
Waders head to Frome Town on Saturday.
