The atristc efforts of a pupil at Caldecote Lower School could see her school feature a virtual town.

Daisy Robertson, seven, was picked as the south regional winner in a design competition run by Slumberdown. Pupils from across the UK were invited to draw their school for the chance for it to feature in the virtual land of Slumbertown, plus a series of adverts and animations.

A team of judges including animation director, Mark Mason, who has animated popular children’s TV series, illustrator Michael Barley, who has produced designs for brands including Mars Confectionery and Hasbro and Slumberdown brand manager, Sally Hotchin, picked the winning designs from hundreds of entries.

The finalists now face a vote via the Slumberdown Facebook page. The design with the most public votes will scoop a UK weekend break for four, a £500 cash prize for their school, £100 worth of shopping vouchers for their parents plus their school to feature in Slumbertown.

Michael Barley said: “Daisy’s school design appealed to us because of the interesting composition and inventive use of props ranging from giant pencils to wall murals and planters.”
