Two Biggleswade AC athletes were selected to represent Bedfordshire in the English Schools Cross Country Championships at Catton Park in Derbyshire last weekend.
Hannah Ridley and Sam Barton both managed to survive the extremely wet and muddy conditions underfoot due the constant downpours to finish in very respectable times.
Ridley, 15, was the fourth scorer for the Bedfordshire team finishing in an excellent time of 15.21mins.
Barton came 170th out of more than 300 runners in his age classification, clocking an impressive 16.43mins.
